Covid-19 Preventive Measures in Mexpower

Updated: Jun 21, 2023

It has been a week since Mexpower resumed operations albeit at a lower capacity. This comes after the Malaysian government’s announcement to reopen all economic sectors under strict conditions following almost two months of complete lockdown due to Covid-19.

Mexpower has implemented health and safety measures in creating a safe workplace for our team members. These measures will also help us play our part in stopping the spread of the virus in the community.

Reminders to comply to Covid-19 preventive measures at the workplace are placed in strategic areas. Replacement disposable three-play face masks, microfibre cloths, spray bottle containing disinfectant, and alcohol-based hand sanitiser are accessible in this corner. The Covid-19 preventive measures in Mexpower based on the guidelines of Malaysian Ministry of Health includes:

  1. Rotating teams to avoid crowding at the workplace (update: we have been operating at full capacity since 9th of June 2020)

  2. The proper usage of face masks is mandatory to enter our premises and must be done at all times during working hours

  3. Logging for contact tracing of body temperatures of all employees and visitors using portable contactless digital forehead thermometers before entering our premises whereby people with body temperatures above 37.5ºC are not allowed entry (update: all employees and visitors are required to log their entry into Mexpower using the MySejahtera smartphone application on top of our physical records since 4th of August 2020)

  4. Compulsory hand sanitising upon entry and subsequently hourly hand sanitising or washing in the warehouse with constant reminders

  5. Physical distancing of at least one metre is to be practiced at all times

  6. Common touch points and workstations are disinfected with diluted bleach at least three times a day by cleaners and employees respectively

  7. Reminders are placed strategically across our premises to increase compliance

Mexpower will continue to adhere to these preventive measures and modify them according to best practices put out by the Malaysian government to stop the spread of Covid-19 until this pandemic is under control. We periodically update workplace safety standards as part of our safety policy.

Stay safe!
